Doesn’t it feel great to get those e-mail notifications letting you know you made a commission? It seems like this is all a bunch of black magic and hocus-pocus until you actually cash the check.
The feeling of excitement never gets old.
And if you just received your first affiliate commission then I cannot imagine how proud you must feel.
Nobody ever gets recognition for their first sale even though it’s the hardest. But you made it, you now have a taste of victory and a glimpse into your potential future as a successful internet marketer. Now your mission is to figure out what you need to do to keep earning those affiliate commissions.
There are many unique and effective strategies to market your products online and generate a consistent income. You can use social media or you can make videos. You can write blog posts or you can do paid advertising.
I have found it is easier to become an expert with one strategy versus attacking four different strategies at once. Find what works best for you and focus on that 80% of the time.
At the end of the day, the amount of hours you contribute will have a great impact on your paycheck so do what you are passionate about.
It never seems like work when you’re having fun and making money.
I enjoy creating content. I like writing blogs or making videos and it always translates into residual profits. I still get commissions from blog posts I wrote five years ago.
But it didn’t start that way.
There was a HUGE learning curve.
And for years I struggled…
You are very likely in that same boat right now but you need to continue on your journey. The fact you are reading this tells me you are committed.
The best thing about learning how to do this properly is it works forever and you can apply it to any business or products you touch.
In fact, I just received my first commission for a new product/training I am promoting.
I wrote one blog post and sent one e-mail to a small list the other day and within 15 minutes I made $143.10 from 2 sales.
But do you know how many e-mails I wrote before this and got zero sales? Countless!
But you get better at it over time. With this small list, and by small, we are talking less than 300 people with less than 30% open rate.
That is less than 100 active readers from a list I have not e-mailed in months.
My chances are abysmal in this scenario.
My list practically didn’t want to hear from me anymore.
But you could have a different story.
Imagine if you had 1,000 active subscribers or 10,000 active subscribers. The possibilities are endless.
Now what if you don’t have an e-mail list? It’s never too late to start.
It’s so easy for anybody to get set up.
I encourage everybody who is serious about their internet marketing business to establish a newsletter and build a list of people who are seeking out your products or services.
There are lots of training programs and courses if you want to dive into this. If you are not ready to pay for anything yet you can always access my 10 day online marketing boot camp that will show you step-by-step what you need to do to transform your business and turn it into a residual cash cow.
