How much do hate spam? How often do you sit and read articles from people you don’t like, know or trust? Do you expect other people to read your spam emails? If you said no, you are learning quickly. Spam will get you zero sales. See how to improve the relationship with your subscribers and build your profits at the same time.
In one of my recent posts, I mentioned that you should focus on providing value first and making a paycheck second. How many of you follow that rule when you do any type of marketing? That is okay you if spam people like crazy now. We are about to change your habits so you don’t do it anymore. People will respect you for it and you will actually get paid.
Why does someone join your mailing list?
Do you think people join your email list so they can hear about the next product launch? Do you think they join your email list so you can pitch them new offers every month? Do you think they join your email list because they trust you, believe you provide valuable content and want to learn some hidden, underground gems from you? Only one of these answers is correct. And if you personally only join someone’s list for valuable information, why do you expect people to join your list if you aren’t providing real value.
This is the number one mistakes most beginner marketers make. They think that if they have a website and an opt in form, they will get leads. The relationship begins only after you give something upfront and your visitor benefits. There is no other way.
The relationship building does not stop after the opt in. If you do not keep up on this, you will not be as profitable as you would like. You will also see your subscribers leave your list fast if you aren’t careful. This comes with the balance of how often you write, what type of value you add and how targeted your readers are. Of course not everyone will ever buy knowing your subscribers and their interests will help tailor your content and emails.
